The Plymouth County Rape
Crisis Center is a program
of Health Care of Southeastern Massachusetts, Inc., located at 728
Brockton Avenue,
Abington, MA.
The Center is supported by funding from the Old Colony United Way,
Massachusetts Department of Public Health, & contributions
from local cities & towns.

The Rape Crisis Center Offers:
- CONFIDENTIALITY -
All counseling services are strictly confidential.
- HOTLINE - Call 508-588-TALK 24 hours a day, 7
days a week for support and assistance.
- COUNSELING - Individual and group counseling
is available to victims, friends and family members free of charge.
- CRISIS INTERVENTION - Counselors will meet
victims and family members at the hospital or police station to
provide support and information.
- COMMUNITY EDUCATION - Comprehensive programs
for community groups and schools are conducted on rape prevention,
acquaintance rape, child abuse prevention, & sensitivity training
for males.
- TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONALS - The center provides
training for professionals. We can develop a program to accommodate
the special needs of any audience.
DID YOU KNOW:
Every three minutes a women is raped.
1 out of 4 women and 1 out of 6 men will be sexually assaulted before they
are 18.
Males can & do suffer sexual assault & rape.
70% of all rapes are committed by someone the victim knows.
The trauma & victimization of rape often remains long after a rape
incident.

If you are raped....
- Get to a safe place.
- Do not bathe, douche, change your clothing, eat or
drink.
- Call the police, a friend or family member, and/or
the Rape Crisis Center, 508-588-TALK.
- Seek medical attention.
